Capabilities

Rumblforge is a creative fabrication studio working at the intersection of physical making and technology. The work spans interactive installation, production-scale object manufacturing, kinetic electronics, and brand fabrication; connected by a single through-line: objects that are designed, built, and delivered by someone who understands the full process from first sketch to finished thing.

Systems Integration

Designing and building objects where fabrication, electronics, and software have to function as a single coherent system rather than separate components assembled at the end. This means understanding how each layer constrains and enables the others from the outset, not bolting technology onto a finished object, but building the object around what the technology needs to do.

Demonstrated in AILA | CNC fabrication, silicone casting, LED matrix integration, Raspberry Pi computing, NFC triggers, and custom conversational AI operating as one system. Winner of Most Innovative Use of Technology, Infinite Form.

Production-Scale Fabrication

Managing the full pipeline from digital concept and material R&D through to consistent output across large production runs. This includes mould design and manufacture, material testing and specification, and the production protocols needed to maintain quality when output scales beyond what a single pair of hands can cast in a day.

Demonstrated in Creative Circle Awards | 300+ Jesmonite awards designed, prototyped, and produced for a national creative industry programme. Objects now held at BBH, Uncommon Creative Studio, Mother, Wieden+Kennedy London and hundreds of others.

Kinetic and Embedded Electronics

Fabricating objects that move, respond, or perform, integrating motors, drive systems, microcontrollers, and wiring into physical objects without compromising their structural integrity or surface finish. Particular experience with wearable and on-set applications where reliability under performance conditions is the primary constraint.

Demonstrated in Train Hat | motorised model railway running on a lazy susan bearing with concealed drive mechanism, integrated terrain build, and potentiometer speed control, worn on camera for a national brand broadcast campaign reaching 3 million views in 48 hours.

Brand Fabrication and Signage

Translating brand identity into physical objects, signage, sculptural assets, and environmental installations that carry the weight of a considered brand rather than feeling like decorated print. This covers the full workflow from digital mock-up and client approval through to fabrication, hand-finishing, and on-site installation.

Demonstrated in Killstar Offices | large-format bespoke lettering designed, 3D printed, reinforced, and hand-finished to an antique gold effect, installed independently on site.

Digital-to-Physical Workflows

The full translation pipeline from digital model to finished physical object: CAD and digital sculpting, 3D printing across FDM and resin processes, mould design and production, casting in resins and Jesmonite, and surface finishing. Comfortable working from a supplied brief, an existing asset, or building from scratch.

Applied across all projects, from the digitally sculpted face at the centre of AILA through to the CAD-designed mould system behind the Creative Circle production run.

Interactive and Experiential Objects

Objects designed to be encountered rather than just observed; things that respond to presence, invite handling, or change behaviour based on input. Experience across gallery installation, brand activation, and public-facing exhibition contexts where the object needs to perform reliably with real audiences over extended periods.

Demonstrated in AILA | exhibited publicly across multiple venues, holding live conversations with visitors via NFC-triggered AI personas.
